Getting to Graz

Graz is located about 200 km south of Vienna. Graz can be reached by flight and ground travel. The airport (Flughafen Graz-Thalerhof) is connected to the city centre by public transfer (c. 20 min). You can find here the updated list of direct flight connections to and from Graz. An alternative is to fly to the larger Vienna International Airport, which has more direct connections. From the airport of Vienna you proceed to railway station “Wien Südbahnhof”, ideally by bus (c. 20 min; from 6:00 to 20:00 every 20 min., from 20:00 to 24:00 every 30 min.; see schedule; one way = € 6.00). Trains to Graz leave from Wien Südbahnhof every hour. The travel (c. 2.5 hours) costs c. € 40.00.

Finding the scientific venue

The XI IOBC meeting will be held in the venues of the historical building of the Graz University of Technology, known as “Alte Technische Universität”; Address: Graz University of Technology, Rechbauerstraße 12, 8010 Graz.
